"Effie Came to Kill It", the tentative title of author H.J. Bennett's upcoming sci-fi/fantasy novel, with its tentative cover by artist Davi-Go.
1872. The Timeline is threatened.
The Wild West gets wilder when a strange titan comes to earth in a beam of light from the heavens, bringing winged monstrosities with it. Many people believe the entities to be Holy in nature. Men and women of God are tasked with hunting down winged “angels” whenever they start getting hungry for humans. Despite the threats associated with these creatures, the masses still pursue them and make pilgrimages to see the God Titan itself.
Traveling from town to town is Lucas, an earnest priest who makes a living fending off angels. Lucas questions what his service to God has become, and doubts the celestial origin of these...uninvited guests. Mutated humanoids pale as bone and covered in writhing roots seem more hellish than heavenly.
The priest’s suspicions are confirmed when a peculiar girl named Effie appears with a suitcase full of money and an urgent need to visit the God Titan. Unable to turn down such payment, Lucas agrees to take the young debutant to her destination. However, he soon learns that his escortee has a greater purpose of her own - one that has brought her across time and space. Effie must put an end to the giant and its angels before they leave their mark on the timeline. What IS the God Titan, really? Only one thing is for sure...
