H.J. Bennett is an author from sunny California. However, Bennett is primarily known for her work as an artist, specializing in mixed media portraiture on canvas. Bennett has been selling custom paintings for over 8 years, and has been writing all her life. Bennett keeps busy with numerous projects that provide commentary on the society we live in. The author's other interests include tattooing, stop-motion animation, prop design, photography, and of course, pop culture.
Bennett was very affected by the sudden death of her father when she was 17 years old and recovering from spinal fusion surgery. Grieving and bed-ridden, Bennett began writing a play titled, "Blood and Baguettes" that dealt with grief, death, and how to move on. This play set the groundwork for Bennett as she went on to write "Franken-Fatale". Here she would continue to address the topic of death as a means of processing her own loss and place in society.
